At half past nine in the morning, we went to Singosari district. On that place, we looked at the Singosari temple and also many kind of statues. There are Ken Dedes, Batarakala, and also Ganesha statue. We feel so interested in seeing the pure culture of Singosari kingdom.
We also saw a couple of Dwarapala statue that guard the gate of Singosari kingdom. That statues are really big and so special, because one of that statues is show the interested pose, the hand of the statue looks like peace sign (Victory) but at that time it explain about dual religion that Hinduism and Budhist.
One of the unique thing that we get there is about Maja fruit. Maja fruit is the old fruit from Java, and the taste is bitter, so we can’t eat it. At that time, Maja is very important for the people, because it used just like a glass. Right know, we can use this fruit as a medicine that have advantage to decrease the high blood tension.
The second place we visited the traditional swimming pool of Ken Dedes. She used this place to take a bath everyday, because she believe the water from that place can keep her beauty.
After we went to Singosari, we moved to other place which is high place in Malang. It call Payung (umbrella), because that place “covers” the lower area just like an umbrella. In Payung, we can saw a lot of stalls that sell many kind of food, and the favorite one is corn barbeque, especially for the teenagers couple. Because this place is well known as a favorite place to spend their Saturday night.
We saw a lot of high trees and the weather is cold with the fresh air. We also spend a few hours to sit at the stall, ate the corn barbeque, and enjoying the beautiful scenery. All of us like the corn barbeque, especially for Dong woo. This is the first time for the Korean student to taste that food.
The last place that we visited was the base camp of Persema. Persema is one of the soccer club in Malang city. After we talked about the soccer club with the guide, we went back to SMPN 18 Malang.
